I received some horrible news this weekend. My brother Adam just bought some chickens! The nerve to live our dream without me! For the last few days all I could think about is how to build the best chicken coop...or where to buy the best chicken feed in Rexburg.
Melissa said that chickens are a waste of money. I told her that having chickens is an investment. She responded with , "Just like the bees were an investment?" Hey its not my fault they didn't survive through the winter! All I want is to have some animals to raise...like an alpaca!
Yet instead of preparing my property for animals (I know I don't have property yet but I am working on that) I am preparing for a 130 degree summer!
In the end I know time is flying by. Before I know it I will be back with my beautiful Wife and all of my plans to have animals....don't worry Melissa I will start with the chickens before an emu or an alpaca!
PS If you think I am joking I'm not...ask Melissa, I have researched booth emus and alpacas extensively! It will happen!
I never said "just like the bees were an investment?"...I wouldn't say that! What I said was...boy that honey we got from your bees was delicious! :)
ReplyDeleteHaving dreams requires the discipline and the patience to make them happen. You save now, live on less than you need now, so that you can afford to pay cash for things like a house and property in the future. That way you will be in a better position to live out your dreams!
I think I have purchased 3 dozen eggs in the 7 months that you've been gone...
I can't wait to get you and your crazy dreams back!!
